Ignition switch replaced, car will not start

You will have to have either a locksmith or the dealership reprogram your new key to your vehicles Passive Anti Theft System (PATS). Your vehicle has a ring around where the lock cylinder goes into the steering column. This ring is like a receiver for a radio broadcast. Implanted into your ignition key is a tiny transponder key, which broadcasts a signal. This signal is then received key the ring and is passed on to your vehicles Power-train Control Module (PCM) which if it matches what is programmed into it will enable your vehicle to start. If it does not match, which is what is happening in your case, the vehicle will not start. I have included the factory description for you as well in the diagrams as well as the door lock and PATS wiring diagrams for you in the diagrams below.
