Car won't start or crank. Battery is hot all fuses good wiring appears okay. I tried to relearn the key. No help. Ignition has power. Acc and run positions working. There is a theft fault on the DIC. Starter works. I jumped starter relay with key in run position. It fired right up then shut off when I pulled jumper wire. The ignition switch looks fine inside and out it won't crank or start. Does anyone have a wiring diagram of the wires going to ignition and going out?

When you try to crank the engine over does the security light flash? If not, the system is not enabled. Here is the ignition switch wiring diagrams and a guide to help check for power:

Check out the images (below). Please let us know what happens.

I've been starting the car by jumping the relay to power. I'm pretty sure the signal wire going to the starter solenoid is bad or shorted. Since I don't use the car that often and since the starter is under the intake, I haven't fixed it. Now I can get it to turn over it starts then shuts off immediately. I'm getting theft system fault on the dic. I've cleared all codes and ret but as soon as I hook battery up it gets the fault and will not start.

So, I have seen the theft deterrent exciter wire break at the ignition switch, here are the wiring diagrams for it so you can see what I am talking about. Check out the images (below). Please let us know what you find.

Thank you for the diagrams. I've tried 3 different exciter rings and tried several different. Starter switches. I got a new key that didn't work either. I suppose you're referring to the three-wire connector the exciter plugs into. I will change that and the wires and let you know what happens. One other thing is the orange wire that remains hot all the time going to the ignition when I turn the ignition to crank my test light goes out until I release it back to run position. I wasn't sure if it's supposed to do that.

The orange wire should be hot at all times, is the battery in good shape?

Please go over this guide to be sure:
