Ignition switch not turning over

I was driving and my complete dashboard went out, nothing worked at all. So I pulled over and shut the engine off. Now my ignition switch will not turn over.

Hello,

Locate the battery and take one of the cables off. Then take a voltmeter and see how many volts you have. If below 12 you will probably need a new battery.
