We had a new ignition switch installed. After he finish, we had a locksmith come to program the keys. The locksmith said we need the original antenna piece from the old part for it to program. Well we cannot find it. Is there something else we can do to program the two keys that came with the new ignition switch? Please help me

Hi and thanks for using 2CarPros. Com.

I do not have great news. Basically, the power control module needs reprogrammed if you lost the keys. I tried to find as much information as possible for you, but everything led to the same place, contact Honda customer relations. If you still had the old key, it is not a problem.

I have attached a picture which shows the how the system works. Basically, the PCM looks for a specific transponder in your key. If it does not find it, an immobilizer will not allow the engine to start. That is where you are.

I did look up the number for you at Honda customer relations. It is:

1800 999 1009

I wish I could offer more, but it seems that is the bottom line.

If you have questions, please feel free to ask.

Take care,
Joe
