We disconnected the battery cable to put a new stereo in and when we reconnected it the key came out. We tried to put it back in. It will not turn the steering wheel is not locked. We don't know if we trip the Anti-Theft or if it's something else causing it.

Hi Rob, if you can't turn the key, make sure the vehicle is fully in park. Also, the anti-theft won't prevent it from turning. However, there is an ignition switch fuse that could, in theory, cause an issue.

It is located under the hood in the lower junction box. See pics 1 and 2. Check that fuse to make sure it didn't fail when the battery was reconnected. If the fuse is good, conform there is power to and from them.

Let me know what you find.

Take care,
