When I put the key in the ignition and try to crank it all the lights and electrical stuff turn on, but it will not turn over. It says key not detected.

This means the chip in the key is not working or the car has forgotten the key code. Can you try your extra key to see if it works? I would remove the negative battery cable and touch it to the positive terminal for one minute to clear and reboot the system to see what happens.

If that does not fix it let's do a CAN scan which is the future of automotive repair, you can get a CAN scanner from Amazon for about $30.00. Here is a video to show you how and a link to a scanner from Amazon. This will tell us what is happening.

and

Please let us know what you find. We are interested to see what it is.
