Someone attempted to steal my car listed above and damaged the ignition switch by sticking a screwdriver in it. When I recovered the car, when I turned the ignition switch it would not engage and his car would not start. I will keep doing it for a while and then it would catch and then it would start. So, I replaced the column. I replaced the ignition switch and cylinder and the battery, and I am still having the same problem. Can anyone tell me why I'm having a delay in my ignition engaging when I turn the key?

So, when you say engage do you mean the starter, or the starter is working but the engine is not starting? Here are the wiring diagrams for the starter is that is what you meant. There is a starter cut relay I would try swapping out. Here is the location as well. Check out the images (below). Please upload pictures or videos in your response of any problems so we can see what to help you with.

When you turn the key nothing happens almost like the battery is dead but we put a brand new battery in and then after we turn it for a couple of minutes as if the battery is dead then all of a sudden return the key car will start.

Thanks for the video. It looks like the MICU has gone out, which is the logic inside the fuse panel on the driver's side. to be sure we could do a CAN scan which a code should come up for it. You can get a CAN scanner (Controller Area Network) which will work on most cars from Amazon.

Here is a video to show you how:
