Ignition locked up

I am unable to turn the ignition except after a lot of wiggling of the wheel and brake and the key itself. The steering wheel is not locked initially, but does lock during the process of trying to get the key to turn.

This is common when the ignition cylinder goes out. I would get a new one from the dealer while you give them your VIN number so they can code it for you before installation.
