Somethings wrong with my chime when I put the key inside the ignition lock cylinder the chime isn't making the ding sound.

Do I need to buy whole new ignition lock cylinder to make the chime sound work again?

There is a micro switch inside the tumbler that can get sticky. I would try WD40 in the lock then push the key in and out of the tumbler several times. Please let me know what happens.

No, spray in where the key goes, then run the key in and out a bunch of times hopefully it will unstick the micro switch.
