I can't get the key out of the ignition. It will not turn either way.

There are a number of things that can cause this so we need to start with this guide that will help cross off the basic things.

Let me know what you find with this info and worst case, we are going to have to try and remove the entire cylinder.
What position is the key stuck in? If it is in the off position, then we may have an issue but then you should be able to remove the key, so I suspect it is stuck in the on position.
If this is the case, then we need to figure something else out so let's start with this and go from there.
