Ignition is locked

When I try to start my vehicle, it will not turn. The ignition is locked. I have tried to move the steering wheel back and forth while trying to turn the key. It do not work. It stays locked. What could possibly be wrong?

This happens when the tumbler wears out. You can try WD40, but the lock should be replaced. Here are diagrams to help you. It look pretty easy to replace.
