Service Engine Soon light came on this morning. AutoZone diagnosed as P0341 and stated I need a new ICM. Can I make it on a 25-mile round trip tomorrow safely and get the new part installed next week?

Hi,

That is a tough question to answer because if it has already been diagnosed as failing, it can fail at any time.

As far as the ICM is concerned, it is easy to replace, and you may want to do it yourself. It is mounted under the ignition coils. I attached directions below for replacing it. Take a look at the directions and let me know if you are comfortable doing it. If you run into trouble, I'll be able to help from here.

You should be able to find an ICM for this vehicle at most parts stores.

Let me know.

Joe

Thank you, Joe. I know Auto Zone carries the part but I need a real mechanic to do the installation because I'm not proficient mechanically and not comfortable trying to do it.

Hi,

No problem whatsoever. If you change your mind, I can walk you through it. It requires removing a few bolts and unplugging an electrical connector.

If you change your mind, I'm here.

Take care,

Joe
