Ignition coil pack wire volts?

#1 and #2 coil packs melted some and positive wire for 3 pin connector was smoking when tried to start. With key off all positive pins at connectors had 12.50 volts then I turned key to on position and all 4-coil pack positive wires read.02 volts. Originally it had code P0301. I really don't have any knowledge of electronics except basic positive and negative.

Hello,

If the coil packs for cylinders 1+2 have been damaged, I would suggest replacing these.
Next check the condition of the connectors and wiring to them.
On each coil connector pin 1 is the trigger wire, pin 2 is a black wire to ground, pin 3 is a red/white wire 12V supply. 12V is supplied from the ECM relay in the IPDM, see wiring information below.
If wiring looks damaged, suggest fitting a connector repair kit, trim back the damaged wiring.
Connector kits are available online.

I've ordered (4) new Hitachi ignition coil packs. Also (4) new wire connector pigtails.
