I'm trying to change the coil pack for number 2. I took the one off and the one it wants me to replace it with connects from the bottom not the side and the clip doesn't fit in it. Do I have to buy all new coil packs for all of them and a new wiring harness?

Hmm, neither of these coils looks correct, I am wondering if a different engine has been installed? here is what the coils are supposed to look like.

It's a 2005 Cadillac Deville v8 with a NorthStar engine.

The wiring connector goes in from the side of it and the replacement one they gave me it comes up from the bottom. But it's a different connector because it doesn't fit when I try to plug it in from the bottom.

I read somewhere that's it's the original coil pack. That came with the car.

The coils might have been updated, this is what they show in the manual. They may have an updated connector, but you will need to replace all of the coils. I would call the part department at Cadillac to see what they say.
