Not usually unless it is visually cracked or something. I would have to say no you cannot. So can you tell me what is going on that you suspect the coil being bad? Any codes in the computer? If so what are the exact code numbers not code descriptions?

Just had some misfires recently and per the mechanic. the coils needed to be replaced. This seems to have addressed the misfires. Given I have 275,000 miles, I was wondering if I could check the remaining ones and verify if they require changing? I can do it cheaper than the dealership.

If the misfires are gone now then I would let be. If you had more bad coils then you would still have misfires.
