Just got this vehicle. Was going to do a tune up and wanted to know if I should replace the ignition coil at the same time. Some of the tune up kits have them others don't.

Good morning,

If you are doing a maintenance tune-up, no need for the coil to be replaced.

Only if you have a code for a coil failure would require replacement.

Replace the plugs. I would also replace the air filter as well.

Hello, I'm Danny.

No, there is no need for you to replace the ignition coil.Only reason to do that is if vehicle wont start. For a basic tune-up just replace the spark plugs and possibly change the fluids if needed. I can attach a service schedule if needed if you don't have the factory Jeep owners manual.Hope this helps and thanks for using 2CarPros.
