It can be that you have a bad battery. Parasitic drain is another possibility.
But it does not seem to be the alternator. If it was the alternator then the car would not stay running after the jump start. Remember a car will run with a jump start just fine, even with a bad battery. It's just you won't be able to restart it after shut off.
I think next best step would be to get the battery tested. You can do a load test on your own or take it to your local auto parts store and they can use their machine to do the load test (more accurate).
