Ignition issue

My car will not crank, but when I turn the ignition the control lights come up on the dashboard but nothing else.

First, this vehicle isn't offered in the US, but I will try my best to help.

The first thing we need to check is the battery and the connections at the battery. Take a look through these links and follow the simple tests and let me know what you find.

Make sure the terminals are clean and in good condition.
