Have you tried a different key? Also, is the security light indicating the vehicle is in shutdown mode? Was the vehicle running properly prior to needing jump started?
There can be several reasons causing a crank no start. Do me a favor and try something. See if it will start for a couple seconds using starting fluid. If it does, then we know it is a fuel related issue. If it doesn't start, then we will need to check for ignition spark.
