Turn the truck on and the starter continues to crank

I turn the truck on and the starter continues to crank, even if I turn the key off. I'm pretty sure it's the key ignition cylinder sticking but have to pull steering wheel to replace it, so I figured I'd ask the pro's first. Thank you for your time. :)

Hello,

This happens when the battery gets weak not having enough voltage to retract the solenoid. This guide will help confirm the issue:
