Assuming both are clean titles with no issues mostly. I am leaning towards the Honda- especially since I want a vehicle with minimal issues.

2001 Chevy Blazer
156k miles
Or
2006 Honda CRV
230k miles

Both are similarly priced at $2k- before price negotiations

Hi welcome, worked on Honda many years as for the right choice Honda would be it. If it was dealer maintained, I would just make sure the a/c works as there were compressor issues with this year and as always check for any codes and take for a long road test if possible, to rule out any drive-ability issues. That year has a timing chain so make sure there are no rattles behind the timing cover as well. I always recommend a used car check at a shop will usually charge $100.00 or so but it is well worth it to see if there are any issues or leaks.
Very glad to help.

Those have notorious engine and transmission issues that are not as reliable.
