Engine cranks won't start, they have tested fuel, and battery, and just about everything imaginable. The last guess is that the security system has been tripped. This car doesn't have any of the fancy power windows or locks, it is a base model so there is no fob. What would the steps be to reset the security system on this thing?

Hello,

Is the security light illuminated on the dash?
One of the most common methods to reset the security system is to disconnect the battery, wait for at least one minute then reconnect. Most cases that will reset the system.

Take a look at this helpful guide:

Keep in mind it is possible to have faulty immobilizer that is keeping the vehicle from starting.

So, you are getting proper fuel pressure and have spark to all the plugs, correct?

Is your check engine light illuminated? If it is, scanning the retrieving the code(s) can help with the diagnostics. As it is possible that a faulty sensor is keeping it from starting.

Let me know of any questions.

Thank you.
