After driving through heavy rain during a storm two days ago now I have noticed that it is hesitating while I was driving but more so when I am stopped and it is idling. Did the water cause this problem? What can I do to fix this regardless of it being caused by water? Or just something that is a result of other issues?

Hello, thanks for using 2CarPros.com. Is the check engine light on? And yes heavy rain can cause issues if you have spark plug boots or wires that are deteriorating, electricity and water do not mix. But a scan of the ECM (engine computer) may give some data as to what is going on. Your locale auto parts store should be able to scan the ECM for free and see if there are any codes or useful data.
