Idle air control solenoid

what are the effects of a faulty idle air control solenoid? how do you test it for serviceability? it has six cables.

we do not have that model in US however you need scanner to test it. you can also clean your throttle plate on both sides and idle air control hole to see if it straightens out especially if you come to a stop and engine quits idling. otherwise you need to scan it to check for a codes.
