I had a co-workers friend install a new motor in my car. He contacted me to let me know that he accidentally added the wrong fluid in my transmission. I would just like to know if it would do permanent damage to my engine if I drove about ten miles to a mechanic to get the fluid flushed and have the correct fluid added?

Hello, I am Danny.

I do not think ten miles would cause serious damage but you will absolutely have to have the correct transmission fluid installed after being flushed and having the transmission filter changed. I have attached a picture of the correct transmission fluid required for your vehicle. Hope this helps and thanks for using 2CarPros.
