i think its the carb not sure though

ok so i can get my jeep running at times but the only way to keep it running is to tap on the gas and its puffin white smoke and dosent idle right and just sounds like garbage also when it stalls or i shut it off the carb dumps gas ...im thinking i have to rebuild the carb but im no expert here im compleatly lost when im under the hood please help your input would be greatly apprecieated thank you for your time

dumping fuel is an indication of flooding. yes, it needs to be re built
