I SPRAYED THE ENGINE WITH GUNK ENGINE CLEANER, THEN USED THE WATER HOSE TO SPRAY OFF THE ENGINE.

THE ENGINE STARTS, BUT HAS A ROUGH IDLE, AND BARELY RUNS AT IDLE. AT HIGH RPMS, 3OOO, IT RUNS WITH OUT MISSING. I HAVE CHECKED THE PLUGS, WIRES, COIL WIRE, LEFT THE CAR IN THE SUN WITH HOOD OPEN TO DRY OUT THE ENGINE. IT HAS BEEN OVER A WEEK, BUT STILL RUNS VERY ROUGH, AND I CAN'T DRIVE THE CAR.

We are going back a few years here. Is the vehicle fuel injected or does it have a carb? Have you checked for vacuum leaks?
