So after I got out from a mall my vehicle wouldn’t start. So I jump started it but after I took out the vehicle, the steering won't turn. I don’t know what to do. We went for a ride about 100 mile yesterday, and drove on the highway with speed approximately 70-85. Nothing unusual happened throughout the trip. Also, before the trip, i checked the engine oil, Power steering fluid, Radiator and stuff. Everything was perfect. There was a little rust on the cap of the radiator bleeding thing, I forgot the name. Could you please lend some advice? TIA

Hello,

Sometimes when you go to start your vehicle the ignition key won't turn until you turn the steering wheel a little bit from side to side to disengage the ignition lock so you can turn the ignition cylinder. This is normal and nothing to worry about.

Thanks,
Alex

Hello,

These cars have an electric steering motor which is sounds like you popped a fuse #23 80 amp for the system. Lets be sure and check the fuse. here is a guide with the fuse locations and a diagram of the steering system so you can see how it works below:

Please have the key on and check all fuses to be safe. Check out the diagrams (below). Please let us know what you find. We are interested to see what it is.
