I have no power, no nothing

It would not start. I put in a starter celluloid under the hood. It started and would not shift, the gauges and door locks would not work. I put in a new battery and then nothing at all. Checked some fuses.

Sounds like you may have installed that solenoid incorrectly. There are a number of feed wires that attach to that solenoid that are actually fusible links. Make sure they are installed on the battery side of the solenoid and give each one a little tug to see if they stretch to indicate they may be burned out.
