I had an ABS code light up the other day. Hooked up my scan tool read a 11-1 Right Front Wheel Speed Sensor Open or Short. I viewed live data, and all sensors are reading speed except the front right. So, I replaced it with a $126 OEM speed sensor. Cleared the codes took for a drive with live data reading all wheel speed. A few days later it came back on. I read codes again and have the same thing and live data on scan tool is reading a 0 again. I figured maybe I have debris or something on back of the ring where wheel speed sensor reads. So, I cleaned it up and made sure the sensor was clean and put it all back together code clears by itself after driving a few miles. Then today it comes back on. What else can I check to fix this? Is there a way I can check the voltage or resistance? Something has to be wrong just can’t figure out what it is.

The car listed above is a 7th gen.

So, if the wheel bearing hub is going out the reluctor wheel will not line up on the sensor. Do you hear a humming noise coming from the right front wheel, if so, this will be the problem. Here is how to change it out.

This video will help with the press work:

If this is not the problem it would check the WSS circuits, here is a guide to help and the WSS wiring diagrams so you can see which wires to test and where.

No, I don't hear a humming noise coming from the right front wheel. I will check pink green and blk wire voltage from ABS module and get back to you. Thank you for the wiring diagrams.

So, I didn't find any voltage issues when testing with multimeter. I just replaced the wheel bearing anyway since this car has so many miles and that seemed like my only other option. It worked! ABS light is gone. I have 2 accords one with over 400k and then this one. Thanks for helping me keep these girls running with no dash lights. Hope to see 999,999 one day.
