I have a rattling noise coming from my engine

My car will crank and sometin
It will start but it make a rattling noise coming from the front of the engine I to the belt off and crank the car and it still made that rattling noise and for some strange reason the car will shutoff

have this looked at locally it may be a shield hitting something.
