Burning oil and black smoke coming out of tail pipe

My car is burning oil and i have black smoke coming out of my tail pipe and sometimes when i am sitting at a light it starts to run hot.

check fuel pressure with a gauge and have car checked for a head gasket leak. auto parts rent gauge.

Hey DARNELL,

I would start by removing the valve covers and checking the oil drain back holes int he cylinder head. If they are plugged the head fills with oil which is then travels down the valve stems and into the engine which there it is burned. When the engine heats up is the radiator fan on?
