Hi,

I need you to try something and let me know the results.

Turn the key to the run position and allow it to sit for approximately 10 minutes. At that point, the security light should turn off. See if the engine will then start.

Let me know.

Okay, well, I did and it turns it to own but the security light is flashing and then I have found out that the keys that they sent with the new ignition it's just a template I guess where they can cut it another key but I don't know what kind of oums or PassKey 2 to that was on my car.

Hi,

I attached directions below for programming a new key. The issue is it requires specialized tooling. I also attached a list of key resistances.

At this point, you likely need to get a locksmith or a dealership. I wish I had a better answer, but because of the model year, it may be hard to find someone with the right programmer.

Let me know.

Joe

There was something going on before I lost my keys. When I was driving it drove great but then sometimes it would seem like it was going to shut off on me like it wasn't getting enough gas or air. And other times I could hear something like a light shocking noise coming from behind the driver side tire but close to the bumper.

Hi,

That isn't encouraging. Have you tried to find a locksmith to see if anyone can help? As far as the noise, it could be anything. In that area (I believe) the tail pipe is located. Something may be loose.

Let me know.

Yes, I sure will can I have called about 5 locksmiths all of them, but one said that they couldn't do it and the one that said they could, it would cost me about $350. Is there any way to bypass the passkey 2?

Yes, so far, the GMC dealership or Buick said they couldn't make the key. I've called multiple locksmiths that's around me and they all said they can't do it, or they didn't have a technician there or around the area to do it.

Wow, that isn't good. I am going to ask the site owner if he has any other ideas. I don't think there is, but anything is possible.

On the other hand, if one of the locksmiths is able to do it when a technician is available, that may be your best chance.

Also, do you still have the original key lock assembly? It may be easier for a locksmith to make a key for it. Also, then we would know how the chip needs to be prepared.

Let me know.
