Car stalled at a stop sign will not start

Put gas in it no go, moved it for the night. Replaced ICU under the distributor drove for half mile and backfired and did not fire up again... Was going to change distributor. Computer said no charge to the was going to get a new ECM. Help.

When you turn the key to the on position without cranking the engine over can you hear the fuel pump run i the tank for 5 seconds? Will it run on starting fluid? Here is a guide that can help:
