I dropped an earring down the emergency brake area, how to get it out?

I had a very special piece of jewelry that fell in the area where the emergency brake is, how can I get it it's not magnetic?

Hi,

If you are unable to reach it, then the center console will need to be removed.

The center console is held in place with a few screws and several plastic retainer clips. Remove the screws and then the clips needed to gain access. See pic 1 below for screw/clip locations.

You may want to consider getting a retainer clip remover to prevent breaking the clips or damaging them. If you look at pic 2 below, it shows the tool I'm referring to. They aren't expensive and you can get them at any parts store.

Looking at pic 1 below, I suspect the only thing you need to remove is the upper cover that is held in by 6 clips. Gently pry upward at the locations seen in pic 3. If you use a screwdriver, cover the end with a soft rag to prevent damage.
