I cannot shift gears, transmission is stuck in neutral

Shifting from second to third, not hard at all. But trying to slow down and shift down I could not. I was close to home so I coasted. Shut off my car. Turned on works fine. Tried to shift into any gear with clutch and could not. Only lets it in reverse but grinds. Also cannot start in first gear. Why is this happening?

Unfortunately this means you are in need of a clutch replacement. Here is a guide that will help with this:

I am sure the slave cylinder is leaking and you could replace this but it doesn't make sense to remove the transmission and replace it and not replace the rest of the components because they are all right there.
