I am trying to connect a mechanical gauge to the engine Is there another place to connect the gauge to other than the hole the switch get screwed out

Engine noise sounds like no oil pressure. Trying to verify.

Go to parts store and rent a mechanical oil pressure gauge. When home, remove the electric oil switch from the engine and install mechanical gauge. Start engine to verify pressure.
