When replacing the CV axles, is there anything else that should be replaced at the same time?

I am told that both my CV axles are worn and will need to be replaced. Is there anything else that should be replaced at the same time?

Hi,

When the axles are purchased, most times they purchase a half shaft. This includes both CV joints and the axle.

As far as things that need to be replaced, only if there is evidence of wear or damage. For example, inspect the axle seals on the transmission. When you take things apart, make sure the hub bearings are good and the ball joints are tight.

Let me know if that helps. Also, let me know if you have other questions.

Take care,

Joe
