As soon as I shift into fourth gear I lose all power in my bronco ii. 1st through third to be normal but 4th seems to stay right around 2000 rpms. I have replaced the fuel filter which seemed to be original and checked the tranny fluid which seem to be normal. The engine sounds find and revs normal but I cannot figure out why fourth gear and fifth do not have any power. I have yet to get it to go over 50 miles and hour.

Is there a misfire? Have you checked to see if the catalytic converter is plugging? Is the fuel pressure within the manufacturer's specs?

The catalytic converter has been removed. It seems like the engine is receiving fuel but I have yet to check the fuel pump.

Check pressure and see if it is within the manufacturer's specs. It may be weak.

I have checked the fuel pressure and everything is up to specs. There is no misfire it seems to stay around 50 mph. I thought it might be taking into much air so I checked both the fuel lines and vaccuum lines and everything seems fine. I'm out of ideas! Thanks for the responses!
