I had the alternator rebuilt. I am not getting any power from the alternator before and after the alternator was rebuilt, because it was burnt in the middle. Detroit rebuild everything and it should work, but I am not getting any power.

The alternator is not putting out any power at all I had some recheck it and they said there is a short somewhere. I am not sure where it could be, but when he checked it I had no problems with the alternator.

Maybe it is a blown fuse or fried fusible link not allowing your "good" alternator's juice to reach the battery.

If you are still kind of lost on this, send your VIN number and I will attempt to find an informative wiring diagram in "Prodemand". It should list all components in the charging system with their locations.

My battery was draining because I have A breathalyzer in the car that drains my battery and I put the charger on it so I do not have to start all time and I think that is why I burnt out the alternator, but my air conditioner stopped working and cooling fans, but when I have somebody check the car he said there was a short in there. My alternator was working no problem and when I started the car up the alternator wont work. I put the charger on it get a full charge and it will start working again the alternator then it just want start working at all the alternator I took the alternator out and had it rebuilt and it did not make a difference. There is no voltage at all coming from the alt stripped away is in the new fuse between the battery and the alternator on the hot. I checked the fuses and I cannot find any burnt fuses.

Maybe you can send a picture of a diagram of how this device is tied into you ignition/ electrical system, maybe we can figure out why it is bogging the system down.

Sometimes that works, but it is tough to say for sure. Did you check for power at the main feed wire at the alternator?

I called the guy that rebuild the alternator he told me to turn the key on check the two wires out of the light that goes in the alternator and see if there any of them are hot in there was no hot on either one of them wires so I kind of thought it's got to be the PCM or something towards the ignition area but it took that computer up so I'm thinking that's what it is a PCM so I'm going to get a new one and let you know how it comes out
