2004 Hyundai Tiburon

I locked my car with the key less yesterday morning and when I went out after work the key less would not work and I could not unlock/open the car so I used the key which set off the alarm and appears to have disabled the car. How do I get the car started and the alarm to stop blaring?

If there is a problem with a factory alarm, you need to take it to a dealer. THey are the only ones with the proper test equipment.

Sharleek, I am having the exact same problem. I am assuming that the problem is with the battery. The car isn't turning over because there isn't enough juice in the battery, and the alarm wont go off until the engine gets turned on.

Can you let me know if this is the problem, or if you figured out something else?

RustyPDX - I had to have the car towed, the FOB battery replaced and reprogrammed. From what I understand when the battery in the FOB finally goes, it losses the programming. I had tried simply replacing the FOB battery first, but because the programming was lost, it didn't completely work!!
