my driver side door will not lock at all, its not electric lock i have a key but the passenger side is fine, when i put the key in, it turns one way but not the other, the lock smiths said that i need a tumbler, but my friend said to take the door apart cause your prob dont and there might just be something twisted.

I would take the door apart and do a visual inspection.

if you can turn the lock, then you probably do not need a tumbler.
