I just completed my 30K service on my vehicle. The service department recommends that I have the brake fluid flushed. I know the tranmission and coolant need to be flushed but this is the first I've heard of a brake fluid flush. What gives and is this necessary?

The brake fluid flush is recommended every two years because the fluid is hygroscopic (it pulls water from the air) and will become contaminated if not flushed. To answer your question, yes it is recommended if you wish to maintain the vehicles ABS at the optimum level. Think of it as an insurance policy ♥
