I have a 2002 Sonata with a DOHC 2.4 -4 cyl Engine, I ran off the road and Put a small crack in the Engine oil pan!! Can you tell me how much of a job it would be for me to change the Oil pan, I have purchased a good used one. Allso I would like to change the Rod and Main bearings while I have the pan down? would that be possibe? Thank-You........John.

i just looked up labor time and its less than an hour so it should be really easy to replace. as for replacing main and connecting rod bearings, that requires some experience and would not attempt unless you have to. try installing new oil pan and see how the engine sounds. if it makes noise i think damage would be in the top end before the lower end.
