Engine problem
2001 Hyundai Sonata 4 cyl Wheel Drive Type unknown Automatic 73000 miles

OUR 2001 HYUNDAI SONOTA STARTED IDLING LOW, RUNNING ROUGH. RUNS BETTER ONCE ACCELERATED AT HIGHER RPM. CHANGED THE SPARK PLUGS TO PLATNUM, SWAPPED COILS, CHECKED THE RESISTANCE ON THE INJECTORS (SAME), SWITCHED WIRES AND CHECKED FOR VACUUM LEAKS. STILL RUNS THE SAME! PLEASE HELP, ANY THOUGHTS?

P0301 tells me that the #1 cylinder is missing.

since youve tooken care of the ignition part, you should first perfrom a compression test it shoudl be no more then 25% less then the highest cylinder.

if that is good swap the fuel injector with another one, if the problem moves with the injector replace the injector.
