Engine Performance problem
2001 Hyundai Sonata 6 cyl Automatic 119000 miles

Hi, I had a question regarding my engine performance. A few days ago my car started shaking, it happens most whenever car is stopped. It got to the point where it was jerking violently, I thought the car was going to cut off! I checked the fluids, and saw that it needed oil. I replaced the oil, and it was fine for a day or two, but now it's doing it again. It also sputters when trying to accelerate from a complete stop. The oil is fine now, but is it possible that I may just need a tune up? I looked under the hood today, and the engine was shaking.

At almost 120K, you are due for a tune up. While you are doing the tune up, do a little extra: Clean your throttle body and idle air control motor.
