2000 Hyundai Sonata where is the expansion valve

I am having some trobles. I am trying to replace a expansion valve in the air conditioning system, the problem is i have bought a shop repair manual and it does not tell me where it is. I was wondering if any one knew where i need to look. I have all the diagrams and everything

Hi leablake,

It is located at the cooling coil and is just behind the firewall.

You need to remove the cooling coil to replace it, you sure you got all the necessary tools and equipment to do it?
