Hi zsay,

You need to have the trans checked. Most probably the trans valve body and solenoids are not working well. The symptoms points to line pressure instability.

Thanks. I was wondering if the input speed sensor has anything to do with it ?

Hi zsay,

If the speed sensor is faulty, the speedometer won't work and it will cause erractic gear shifting.

The TCM operates with signal from the speed sensor to provide correct time for gear changes so if it is malfunctioning, get it replaced first.
