The cooling fan behind the radiator on the drivers side is not working. Is it possible to replace only the fan motor and not the whole housing? Can the fan motor/housing be replaced by a do-it-yourselfer? how long would a repair like this take? Can anyone recommend a good Sonata shop manual?

Have you tested the fan motor? Unplug the connector and run a power and ground from the battery touch the fan leads, does it start?
