Electrical problem
1999 Hyundai Sonata 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

Headlamps blown, alternator replaced, started blowing out headlamps, new alternator putting out too much voltage was replaced again, 1 week later headlights blown again, fuses are good, battery getting cooked; what is causing headlights to be blown and battery to be cooked?

Hi justusinstpete,

Symptoms indicates the alternator is overcharging causing the problem.

It could be a faulty alternator or PCM, which is linked to the charging system.
